On June 10, 2007, an eager crowd gathered at The Living Room in New York City to attend the release party of the solo debut of Michael Brunnock, the tremendous So I Do. The night was a success, with music guest appearances by Jenna Nicholls, Libby Johnson, Kelly McRae, Brendan O'Shea, Colin Smith, and legendary R&B performer, Moe Holmes, who teamed with Brunnock on the unreleased ballad, "Sensation."
Spurred by Holmes's death on February 12, 2008, Brunnock worked to bring this performance to light so that it could be experienced by more than just those privileged enough to be at The Living Room on that June evening.
To that end comes Michael Brunnock: Live in New York, including the "Sensation"-al collaboration between the two amazing artists. Live in New York became available from Amazon mp3 downloads on June 20, 2009. Physical CD is available from CD Freedom, amd the MP3 download includes "Fallen Leaves" for free. The CD will soon be available through the usual online music outlets (iTunes, Rhapsody, Emusic, Napster, and CD Baby).

New Album Live in NY now Available
For those who have watched the Irish music scene, Michael Brunnock is recognized as a quiet man who's made a big impact. A native of county Meath, he now resides in New York. He fronted Little Palace in the late 90s.
Irish Premier Music Journal, Hotpress Magazine commented ". one of the strongest debut singles I've heard from any band, Irish or otherwise" on the release of 'Beekeeper', a song about his past experience as a math teacher.
2009 is a big year for Michael; there will be three LP releases before this year's end. Little Palace have reformed and released Invitation Time in April 2009 (U.S. order info). (see reviews) Michael Brunnock : Live in New York set for official release July 13th, 2009.
Later in the autumn should see the release of Michael's second solo album . . . watch this space.
Brunnock remembers clearly, the defining moment as a child, that set him on the path to a musical career. In his family's often packed kitchen, in front of an open fire at night, all assembled, were captivated by his 90-year-old grandfather (who’s name incidentally was Michael Brunnock) singing local ballads chronicling the heroics of Irish rebels during the Irish war of independence and before. The lofty goal of recreating such an energy took seed firmly with the youngest Michael Brunnock.
From here, influences as varied as Elvis, Planxty(Traditional Irish super group), Neil Young, Gillian Welch, Dead Can Dance and AC/DC, have shaped Michael's earnest intelligence, into a mesmerizing body of work to date.
Comparisons to Neil Young and Cold Play are made, and may loosely describe his contemporary acoustic folk-rock sound, but his themes are drawn from life's paradoxes; conscience vs consciousness and internal beauty vs external image. The songs and particularly live performances, are very much his own.
