Finally solidifying a line-up poised and ready for whatever it takes involved an upgrade to long time friend and shred-ready bassist Nick Gouin; while the matured writing ability, experience, commitment, and heartfelt disposition to the norms of a dysfunctional modern society have quickly forged vocalist Brett Mommaerts a centerpiece to Wisconsin metal act Micawber. With the heightened sense of unity and meaning, tirelessly pursuing what they believe in, heavy music, seems the only option. Influenced by everything from Whitesnake to Vital Remains, Micawber’s self-coined “Deathrash” remains thunderous all the while fast paced thrash riffage, harmony darkened tremolos, and pummeling up-tempo break beats harass listeners amidst seamlessly integrated classic metalesque lead solos, focused grooves, and frighteningly monstrous vocals. Years playing together for axe handlers Sean and Leighton Thompson and drummer Tyler Lachowicz have forced an extremely smooth transition on the lineup as well.
