Soon to release their 3rd album, "The Golden Ass", Mia and Jonah have worked a new brand of storytelling into the realm of live performance. "The Golden Ass" weaves an ancient tale with the real-life experience. In it, Mia and Jonah inhabit character's lives to reveal emotional truths, both intimate and epic.
When they met in the fall of 2003, they had no idea that they would produce 3 albums together and complete a nation wide tour with their second – “Rooms for Adelaide” by 2008. Their music has been described as, “songs of singular beauty, played and sung without pretense” by the SF Chronicle as well as, “Genuine, timeless and telling” (Tunejar).
Compared to artists such as M. Ward, Devendra Banhart, Martha Wainwright, and the Damien Rice/Lisa Hannigan duo, Mia and Jonah have an onstage chemistry described as a “made in heaven coupling” (North Bay Bohemian).
