In late 2004, John Page, Justin Rice, and John Jones, after many years of being close friends in high school, formed a band. The trio wrote songs with neither a basses nor a singer for about a month before John Page’s younger brother, Joey Page, expressed interest in joining the group as a vocalist. After a brief tryout, Joey was welcomed to the group.

The band, under the name Pit Fiend, began playing shows with either no bassist or temporary fill-ins. After several failed attempts to solidify the role, a decision was made to call a high school friend who was an established bass player, which now lived out of town. Adam Maysonet agreed to come down and play with the group, and would later move back down to South Florida to become a permanent member of the band.

Once the lineup was complete, the band decided that a name change was needed. After going through a large list of possibilities, Metal Reign was the unanimous choice of the members.

With all the pieces in place, the band began working on building a solid fan base, while trying to revive a lack luster local music scene. In doing so, they created an event that is now considered to be a staple of the South Florida local scene, know as Metal and Models. The success of this show was an intricate factor in the bands emergence as one of the most well known, respected, and followed bands in the local scene.

Metal Reign has performed at 93 Rock’s New Years Eve Bash 06, the Gear Up Benefit Concert, to benefit the firefighters who have fallen ill at Ground Zero, and 93 Rock’s End Of Summer Slam, with Nonpoint, Bullet For My Valentine, 18 Visions, Ankla, and Evans Blue.

After a year of playing live shows and growing their music writing skills, the band went into the studio and recorded their debut album “8 Fingers of Whiskey”. The album was released on April 7th 2007, at “Metal and Models 2007”. The album consisted of nine tracks of pure metal, which has been very well received by fans of metal, as well as those with different musical tastes.

Metal Reign is currently in the process of moving to Georgia,so they can travel easier around the nation. As well as writing new material for a new album.
