Meri was born on December 9 in 1987 in the wonderful city of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. In 1995 she came with her parents and her sister Manan to Germany. Her sisters Sophie and Lucy were born in Germany. Meri's father is musician and producer and therefore music has always been around her since she was a little child. She went to the primary school in Schweinfurt when she began to play piano.



Later she sang in choirs of the Celtis Hight School and played also keyboard. Meri had many appearances with a jazz/ soul band. She started to record songs in her own studio at home. Those songs were composed by her and her father. Together they have already created up to 12 unpublished albums! Some years ago she started singing in the Celtis-Big-Band of her school. Together with this band she has been on tour to Italy and in September 2006 they even gave concerts in China. She loves to be on stage, to sing for her audience, enjoys travelling and all preparation for an appearance on stage. Over the years she has already worked with the music producers Irmgard Klarmann and Felix Weber as well as with Michael Hanf and Composer Candy de Rouge. She participated in some singing competitions and has taken dance instructions. And then, in 2005 she took part in the contest “Deutschland such den Superstar/DSDS (German pop idol). At the end she was under the last twelve contestants.



In autumn 2006 she signed a recording contract with the new music label “Deutsche Ton”.

After signing a recording contract with “Deutsche Ton” Vocalcoach Robin D’s Single was released with a feature of Meri Voskanian in November 2006.

In February 2007 she participated in the Eurovision Song Contest national Election of Armenia – There she won the second place.



Recently her first Single “Wenn Du aus dem Fenster siehst” was appeared on 25 of Mai…and we all hope that this will be a success.



Now she’s writing one song after the other for her first album, which is to appear in the autumn 2007.

Meri works the melodies out on the piano, some of which together with her father. All lyrics are written by her. Let’s wait and see…
