Beams of Heaven - Daughters of Blood and Bone - As sung by Sister Rosetta Tharpe - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 13, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Melisa Devost, Linda McRae and Pharis Romero were put together at a gospel workshop in 2011 at the Artswells Festival. Melisa asked Linda and Pharis to join her on "Beams of Heaven" written by the great Sister Rosetta Tharpe! In Aug. 2012 they once again joined together this time as The Daughters of Blood and Bone for a special concert at the Artswells Festival in Wells, BC Canada. A mighty oversight on our part...here is a correction that was sent in by Beatrix from The Netherlands, thanks Beatrix! Oh and it was actually sung by Melisa Devost....

On You Tube I spotted a recording, containing "Beams of Heaven", sung by (a.o) Linda McRae. As author of the song, Sister Rosetta Tharpe was mentioned. However "Beames of Heaven" (orignal title "Some Day") was written (bot lyrics and music) by Charles A. Tindley (1851-1933). Source: http://www.hymntime.com/tch/htm/s/o/m/some_day.htm
