Since 2004, Melanie Sue Mausser has been making a name for herself as an intuitive and unique songwriter whose lyrics and melodies embrace the spirit of rural America with an opposing cosmopolitan flair. With just her left-handed guitar and her sweet, yet haunting vocals, Melanie has entertained audiences throughout the Midwest and West at such venues as the Tucson Folk Festival, Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion and the Sturgis, South Dakota Black Hill Bike Rally. In 2007, she won the local round of the Colgate Country Showdown contest sponsored by 98.1 KHAK country radio station out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Most recently she was awarded an Honorable Mention in the Midatlantic Songwriting Competition for her song "Right Here On the Farm." To date she has released one CD, "Cadillac Daddy" and is currently at work on her second album, "Happy, Lucky, Lost & Free." She recently moved to Nashville to further pursue her songwriting career.

"Cadillac Daddy" is now available at CD Baby.
