Smooth. Sultry. Salacious. Singer / songwriter IsKwé (pronounced Is-kway) has a way with words, wrapping her powerful voice around the lyrics that any femme fatal in their own right can instantly relate to. A Trip Hop / Eclectic soul singer and Canadian girl at heart, hailing from Winnipeg, IsKwé has been surrounded by creative inspiration her whole life. Growing up in a family of artists, her innate passion for all things music was nurtured from a young age:

"I laugh when I think back and remember my dad coming into my room when I was 12 (my little sister was 6 at the time) and I was BUMPING some Eazy-E! All he did was ask me to put on my headphones." IsKwé jokes, reminiscing on the artistic and eclectic household she grew up in. Coming from a mixed family of Irish and Cree/Dene (Aboriginal) and pulls from both of her cultures for a sound that is as unique as she is.
Driven, passionate and full of heart, IsKwé has developed her innate talent over the years and is renowned as a soul tingling songstress captivating music loving audiences throughout North America. Combining her classical piano and vocal training, lifelong love affair with music and natural urban flare, IsKwé connects with her audience with ease, inducing goosebumps in the front row and all the way to the rafters.
Committed to giving back to the Native community, isKwé has focused on promoting positive change and education through facilitating youth workshops with a large focus on music and the arts, as well as supporting various native youth organizations, both in Canada and the USA. In 2008, she was invited to perform at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO, for the Native Nations Uniting for Change gala at the Denver Art Museum. In addition, she has performed at such events as Aboriginal Music Week in Winnipeg, MB, NAYA's fundraising gala at the Portland Art Museum, the Canadian Aboriginal Festival in Toronto, ON, the Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque, NM and various music festivals.
Following her passion and traveling between Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles, IsKwé has been able to immerse herself in the culture of music, working with award winning producers and crafting her unique sound. Booming bass lines, heavy beats and spine tingling vocals set IsKwé apart from the generic female artists diluting today's charts.
Having just completed a US Tour with the infamous New York City collective FreakNasty, IsKwé is now focusing her energy on her next album project which features industry heavyweights. IsKwé is the future, and the future is looking bright!
