The Road to "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam": Behind the Music



Meaghan Martin was born on February 17, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A fan of musical theater, she performed in several community theater productions in Las Vegas. She began modeling at the age of five including Disney licensed apparel at the M.A.G.I.C. Convention in Las Vegas. Meaghan then made her professional theater debut in the Los Angeles production of the Jason Robert Brown musical "13."

Meaghan is best known for her role as the beautiful yet bossy Tess Tyler, queen bee of the hottest clique in camp, in Disney Channel's Original Movie Camp Rock. Vying and competing for the attention of pop star Shane Gray, Tess grows seemingly frustrated when she sees a special bond forming between him and her new underling Mitchie Torres. While it appears Tess has the perfect life, she longs for the attention of her mother, a famous recording artist who spends more time on the road than with her daughter. Soon Meaghan will be reprising her role of Tess in the upcoming Camp Rock 2.

Meaghan's latest project is the ABC Family pilot, "10 Things I Hate About You”, in the role of “Bianca”. She also recently had the lead role as "Megan" in the independent film Dear Lemon Lima. She has also guest-starred on Fox’s “House”, Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," Nickelodeon's "Just Jordan" and CBS's "Close to Home." She was also featured in a variety of national and international commercials such as Barbie and Cabbage Patch Dolls.
