M-dot (Michael Januario) a full blood italian mc (born & raised in East Boston & revere, currently residing in lynn, MA) has grinded profusely, attempting to gain ground in an era that embodies an abundance of so called "rappers." Constant recognized success has separated him from the pack. The 22nd Annual BMP Awards named M-Dot Boston's 2010 "Best Hip Hop Act" (An honor awarded to such hierarchy as Guru, Mr. Lif, Bell Biv Devoe, Akrobatik & other legends in years past). M-Dot, ranked in Stuff Magazine's 2009 Annual "Hot 100," is striving to out work everyone while never becoming complacent. In 2008 M-Dot Received "2 Dope 2 Sleep On" honors from one of the world biggest sites 2dopeboyz.com. He understands the importance of always growing as an mc, constantly challenging himself to make music for all audiences (not just stagnant to one genre). "M-Dot's Grinding his way in!" writing, recording, editing, producing, his own music (in his own professionally running studio that he built), booking over a hundred shows worldwide per year without a booking agent (he has been flown out to tour Europe, Canada, etc.), making his own flyers, creating his own web design, making major collaborations without a manager (Chino XL, Joel Ortiz, Masta Ace, Agallah of Dip Set, Gangstarr Foundation, Little Brother, keith murray & more), even executive producing his own videos. All accomplished at a young age, by himself, without any budget or money whatsoever! His lyrics evoke genuine realism true to his everyday life, very much in contrast to most of the fallacies constantly portrayed currently in 'rap. Currently M-dot is working on completing the highly anticipated album M.usically D.riven O.ver T.ime (Featured as Most Anticiapted albums in The Boston Phoenix). M-dot is also working on independent mixtape tracks with producer d-sharp (whose worked with missy elliot, timbaland, kelly rowland, lil mo, etc.), 7l (whose produced for Cormega, Main Flow, Esoteric), Explizit One (who has produced for Special Teamz, Smif-n-wessun, Devin the Dude & more), kore (who produced M-Dot's radio hit "Full Circle"), kenshin (who produced M-Dot's radio hits "Little by Little" & "unwind"), karimbo (whose produced for az, afu ra, krumbsnatcha, edo g), dj tko (mtv mixtape mondays), dj jean maron (hosts dj premier mixtapes in france) etc.



M-dot is also acting in big krizz kaliko & makzilla's (tech nine's strange music) new comedy pilot "what it is" (being shot in missouri & iowa). m-dot songs are being used in world-wide releases of motion pictures (troma film, hollywood,ca) as well as bike stunt videos (explicit filmz). M-Dot's songs are currently being used everyday in the La Bayou Casino, located in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada! m-dot has received national mainstream radio play (Hot 97.7, Jam'n 94.5), Satellite radio play (Shade 45) & international radio play (Sweden's Crash FM, France's Dj Modesty N 135, Belgium, Italy), as well as national college radio play, (WERS 88.9, America's number 1 college radio). request M-dot on 88.9 @ night @ 617-482-8890.
