Maurizio Rocca DeeJay

Maurizio Rocca, Independent Disc Jockey and producer of dance music. Born in Calabria, Italy. Starsign: Pisces. He has been working and living in Rome, Italy since 1995. He has shown interest in the music world ever since childhood and has loved living through the disco music period which began during his teenage years. In 1982 he had his first experience with radio and the following year, that of DJ which lead him to perform at various venues in the area over the following years. At the end of the 80's he was captured by electronic music and from here came his decision to travel the world in search of new sounds and music. He has closely followed the progress of house music since its birth.He also worked as a DJ in tourist resorts and after this experience he decided to relocate permanently. His first goal was Milan, but he finally chose Rome. He began working for a few famous local radio stations in the Italian capital and at the same time performed as DJ in various venues. Finally in 1997 he secured a position at Dimensione Suono Roma Radio, part of the RDS Group, and in the meantime formed the nomination project together with colleagues, Giuliano Ignoto and Mauro Dori. They released two singles, one in 2001 and the other in 2002. In the same year, after various unpleasant incidents, the group divided.Maurizio pursued a solo career in music production and in 2004 with his friend, Simone Girasole, he produced Dee Bee. At the same time a house music project arose with Neopolitan vocalist Francesco Serao. The project became very well-known, since it was played in clubs all over Europe. In 2002 RDS (Radio Dimensione Suono), a franchise of Dimensione Suono Roma called him to work for them and he still works there today mixing the sequences that are aired every hour, and start a long collaboration with my friend Claudio Cannizzaro that he'll create cannyrok's project.In 2004 he met singer Alessia Kay, and they worked together on a few productions, .As well as performing all over Italy, Maurizio has also worked in Ibiza where he performed alongside other DJ's from all over the world. In January 2006 he performed at The Pacha, in the famous house nation of Sharm el Sheik. Music is the sound track to his life. He loves to be surrounded by beautiful women, enjoys the parties with friends, but above all Maurizio travels a lot to immerse himself in cd department stores and clubs.
