Matt-U is Matyas Szalai, one of Budapest's most prolific and respected drumandbass artists, making waves with his particular deep techy sound ever since his release with production partner Jade on the seminal BSE Recordings, 'Got Lost', in 2004.

A mixdown purist and extreme neuro-bassline surgeon, Matt has released a host of 12"s on BSE, Moving Shadow, 1210, Citrus, Xtinction Agenda, Timeless and Commercial Suicide among others. His forthcoming records will be out on Gridlok's Project 51 and Loxy's Xtinction Agenda, sealing the deal for this tallented, diverse producer. DJ support comes from Loxy and Ink, Keaton, Flight, Goldie, Klute, LTJ Bukem, Gridlok, Ed Rush and Optical.

All that penciled in, Matt proves he has soul after all! Soulproof is a production alias meant to cover the liquid side of things, alongside old-time partner Andor of Mindscape fame.

As a DJ, Matt-U has been actively involved in his local scene for 3 years, with international appearances and headlining acts from the small, intimate venues to the post-rave festival gigs.
