Matthew Lee is a rock’n’roll singer and pianist. He offers an absolutely unique show in Italy. Besides being a well-talented musician, Matthew enriches his show with incredible numbers. His unmistakable and ductile voice can be energetic and gritty but also warm and expressive. Despite his young age, he is able to capture the audience's attention on stage. He is one of the most complete and charismatic artists in today's musical panorama.

Matthew Lee was born in Pesaro, on January 6 1982. At 11, he started attending the Conservatoire in Pesaro, his hometown. He immediately learned the piano techniques, by playing classical music. His first contact with rock’n’roll arrived by listening to Elvis Presley's LPs, owned by his father, which is a musician, too.

The audience gets captured by his extraordinary ability and charisma. For three times, he was invited to the famous Italian TV show “Domenica In…” host by Carlo Conti and Mara Venier.

This successful result was immediately followed by another TV participation. Italian host Paolo Limiti invited Matthew to his afternoon program “Ci vediamo in tv”, where Matthew was greatly appreciated.

The press has defined him as the “genius on Jerry Lee Lewis' wake”. Matthew has continued being hosted in a number of TV programs. Renzo Arbore, after taking part to one of his shows, was so enthusiastic and invited him as a guest to his TV program “Speciale per me ovvero meno siamo meglio stiamo”, broadcast on Saturday Nights on Rai 1.

In 2005, Matthew started touring the most famous Italian clubs, including The Place in Rome, Le Scimmie in Milan, Barfly in Ancona, Naima in Forlì .

During summer 2005, he was invited to a number of important festivals, including San Severino Marche Blues Festival, which he opened with 1500 enthusiastic people that came there in spite of the rain, and Summer Jamboree festival in Senigallia (An). This is a long festival, gathering fans from all over Europe, who love the rock’n’roll and the rockabilly world.

At the end of 2005, Matthew performed in Rome, during New Year's Feast, with 150.000 participants. The program was entirely devoted to rock’n’roll and Matthew performed together with Lillo e Greg, Max Gazzè, Little Tony,Enrico Ciacci, Federico Zampaglione etc…

In November 2006, Matthew Lee released his first album “Shake”, produced by the Italian group I Nomadi. The album was also recorded in their studios. The artistic director of this album was the Nomadi's guitar player Cico Falzone, who also recorded some guitar's tracks. This important cooperation led Matthew to be frequently invited to open the concerts of this famous Italian group.

In December 2006, Red Ronnie, who has always appreciated his art, invited him to perform at Motor Show in Bologna, in the "Myths of music" stand. This performance was immediately followed by other two successful performances at the historical Roxy Bar, where Matthew also recorded a video clip, included in the DVD ROXY BAR, distributed throughout Italy.

During summer 2007, Matthew was invited by many important Italian blues festivals, including Soul Island festival, Brindisi blues festival, Subiaco Blues festival, Lodi Blues festival and Tropea blues festival.

Matthew's live activity in 2007 includes 70 live performances, always obtaining a personal success, both by the audience and the critics.

In 2008, Matthew has started touring abroad. In January, he was invited to an important piano festival in Paris. Some months later, he was the special guest at JPII Jammin’ Festival in S.Giovanni Rotondo. His performance was live broadcast in Italy, Canada and USA.
