MASA Records is Music As Social Agitation Records, a homespun, not-for-profit label seeking to promote socially and politically mindful artists and to funnel at least the majority of money brought in from the sale of releases to charitable organizations and other non-profits, both socially and politically based. MASA Records is Art For Peoples Sake! MASA Records is Fun Raising! As part of the inspiration to be a "charitable" label concerns our distaste for the idea of money/currency being attached to art, you can also find many MASA releases available for free (see our collection of recordings at www.archive.org). We are also always into trading for releases. We are always looking for people to collaborate with and to share both resources and stories of Old Man Jenkins Farm. Oh, and MASA is phonetically mispronounced "May-Suh."
