DESCRIPTION:
On March 11th, 2015, the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins visited our rehearsal space and officially opened it. Also joining us on this auspicious day were the President's wife, wife Sabina, and a small audience, which included the Brasilian Ambassador to Ireland, HE Alfonso Jose Sena Cardoso and his wife Solange Cardoso, and a strong representation from the local community.
The President made a passionate speech about the history and current work of Masamba, which he had clearly researched thoroughly, and it was great to hear that our work is being noticed at the very highest level.
