DESCRIPTION:
Back in 2006, MaSamba were asked to provide some drummers and dancers who could 'really play' samba to welcome a special guest to a book signing in Eason's Bookstore on O'Connell Street. The guest was the footballer Pele, who is venerated as being almost a God in His native Brasil, and this clip from the evening news captures what a stir he created, even in Dublin.
Pele was great, complimented us on how well we performed and took time out to sign free copies of the book for us all.
