Mary(マリー)　
A singer with a voice that's delicate yet strong, carefree and rich in
emotion, Mary was born in Miyazaki Prefecture. She began playing piano
from a young age, developing her musical sensibility through exposure
to numerous styles. Influenced by acts such as Whitney Houston,Incognito and the Brand
New Heavies, she began performing live with her band while taking part
in several studio recordings as a session vocalist.
She released her self-produced debut mini album, Brand New Me, in
April 2008, landing a spot in the iTunes 2008 end-of-the-year chart.
At the same time, she also performed on countless tracks as a featured
vocalist, taking part in club compilations from Grand Gallery and
Wired Cafe, among others.
Her long-awaited second album, Define, further explores Mary's musical
talents, continuing to develop her unique sound. The album's nine
tracks jump from genre to genre, and include the Ryota Nozaki (also
known as Jazztronik)-produced "Shiny Day", vocal showcases "I Can Feel
It" and "Life Is", lyrically unique "Release the Silence", and neo
soul-influenced "Beauty in Life".
宮崎県出身。
幼い頃からピアノをはじめ、さまざまな音楽と出会い感性を高める。
Whitney HoustonやIncognito、The Brand New Heaviesなどに影響を受け、
バンドのヴォーカルとしてライブ活動を行いながら、
ボーカリストとして様々なスタジオワークをこなす。
"女性ボーカリストによるセルフ・プロデュース"という新たな試みで
1st Mini Album「BRAND MEW ME」を2008年4月にリリース。
iTunes2008 年間チャートにランクインし、話題のシンガーに。
2009年6月、待望の2nd Album「Define」をリリースすると、
iTunesのダンス・チャートのトップ10へ3曲同時にチャート・インさせた。
自身の楽曲をはじめfeaturing参加した曲は、Grand Gallery やWIRED CAFEなど
club系コンピレーション・アルバムに多数収録されている。
繊細でいて力強く、伸びやかで感情豊かな歌声を携えた女性シンガー。
