MaryClare Brzytwa - For Caeli -- Rachel Rudich, flute. 19th Annual Ussachevsky Festival - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 06, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
"For Caeli" is an interactive piece between flute and computer written in 2010 by composer
MaryClare Brzytwa. The score consists of both traditional notation and custom- designed computer software created in the programing environment Max/MSP. The computer records small kernels of flute counterpoint in real time and processes them into 4 voices of stretched, shrunk, twisted and amplified flute-generated sound, resulting in a multi-dimensional visual and auditory environment of electronic accompaniment behind the solo flute.
