Marner Brown announced themselves onto the stage with some great tour supports with Ocean Colour Scene - playing to crowds in excess of 3,000 including a legendary performance at a packed Astoria where OCS's front man stated that it was the first time "in seventeen years we'd been worried about taking to the stage".

The following year has been spent crafting and creating some awesome, catchy, pure rock 'n' roll tunes; the likes of which are achingly missing from today's charts. Most recently they've been adding the finishing touches to these in Paul Weller's studio, following the Modfather seeing the boys support OCS again recently.

Some great brand projects were undertaken initially with Quiksilver, & Eastpak and finalised with writing and recording 'Open Road' for a global Grolsch TV ad.

That's Marner Brown. They're simply taking the baton of great British no-nonsense guitar bands and running with it.

The album is currently being made having been laid down at El Cortijo (http://miloco.co.uk/studios/elcortijo.php), debut single 'Dirty Weekend' is available now on iTunes & amazon.
Marner are playing a whole host of UK & European Festivals in 2011 including Guilfest, Solfest, The Electric Picnic (irl) & Frequency (austria)

When asked by Graeme Thompson of The Word Magazine. Q : What bands should we be listening to? A : "Another band I saw the other day are Marner Brown - They are really good. They had a bit of a Led Zep / n Roses type thing" ."
Ronnie Wood (Jan 2008)

"Aaron A Grimes is currently THE best young guitarist in the UK, & Marner Brown are possibly the best support we've ever had"
Steve Cradock, Ocean Colour Scene (Jan 2008)

Marner Brown are one of the best new rock bands I have ever seen…….they have the presence, dynamic and excitement far-reaching their tender years and great songs to match their outstanding image………they will go far and I'm proud to be involved from the beginning."
Rod MacSween (Head of ITB)

"This lot surprised us recently in London and we were really impressed by the way they sound. They're a bit Led Zep, a bit Stonesey, a bit Supergrass. They look good too; nice shoes, nice hair, nice attitude, a bit like Rod Stewart (circa1973) and, of course, we love a bit of Rod."
Dirk Tourette (Towers of London, NME Recommender)

"Fiachra Kerrigan's distinct gravelly vocals, backed up by some seriously hot rock guitar playing are putting Marner Brown leaps and bounds ahead of the rest."
Gary Crowley; BBC London Calling

"Marner Brown have the accomplished bluster that only comes from knowing you're totally shit hot at what you are doing. Built on the foundations of great British rock'n'rollers, this lot have rummaged through the best of a bygone age, bringing it up to the noughties with the same polish and bravado that made Noel Gallagher a millionaire many times over. In this instance, the result's not lad rock, though, but something more delicate and precious".
Matt Thompson, The Fly
