8-bit punk Mark DeNardo cut his teeth in the electronic/noise scene of Chicago in the early 2000s.
Using LSDJ and a guitar, he wrote a series of underground self-releases, the most well-known being songs from the folktronic "Doppelganger," self-released in 2004.
In 2004 he moved to New York City, and performed as OMAC, spinning chip-hop tracks taken from the tales of the 1970s Jack Kirby comic books.
Meeting artists like Paul Pope, and experiencing the Brooklyn music scene compelled DeNardo to write 8-bit punk songs under the new band Graffiti Monsters in 2007, fusing ancient and modern mythology in the noise/folk/punk/blues idiom.,
With drummer Jeremy Wolfe Kivett, Graffiti Monsters has been making friends and playing shows in the New York punk circuit, the 8-bitpeoples/collectives, and Brooklyn noise scene since the start of 2008.
