Straight from the hard and bloody streets of Charleston, South Carolina comes one of this century’s hottest female rap artist, Marion Westwood. Growing up in the Charleston area was not easy. Always around drug dealing, prostitution and murder, Marion had to learn fast about the ins and outs of the streets. Aside from talking to her mother and father, Marion began writing as a way to cope with the everyday pressures of living in hard conditions. As she continued to write, she began to get noticed by others in her family. Pretty soon she also began to get noticed by other rap artist in the streets as well. It wasn’t long until she was in the recording studios in Charleston.

Marion Westwood signed her first recording contract in her early teens. Shortly after her signing, she was on the road doing shows from South Carolina to New York City. To add to the excitement of her shows, she included her two twin sisters as dancers and her other sister as a co-performer. It was a huge success. With her mother and aunt as her managers, Marion continued to become a hit at big shows. After her first contract expired, Marion’s family opened their own record company called TKO Records. On this new label, Marion and her sisters were the main acts.

At TKO Records, Marion Westwood was granted more creative freedom. By continuing to put out good strong music tracks, she quickly became a respected figure in the local hip-hop scene. As she grew in popularity, so did her fan base. Even though Marion has always appreciated her aunt and her mother for starting TKO Records in her honor, Marion has always had a desire to be in complete control of her music career.

After being with TKO Records for a few years, Marion Westwood ventured off on her own. Taking her fan base with her, she partnered with friend and label writing buddy, Willie Carpenter. The two of them started the rap group and independent record label, The Lost Society. The two of them are a great musical and business team.

Aside from her other musical recordings, Marion Westwood is now putting out her new mix tape called, Diary of the Black Widow. This new project is already critically acclaimed as one of this years’ most powerful mix tape releases. She, along with her dedicated promotional team, is hard at work constantly inventing new ways to promote this and other Lost Society releases to the masses. In a whole Marion Westwood has proven herself to be one of the worlds’ most powerful voices in the music business.
