Maria Dangell was born in Tallinn (Estonia). From the age of seven she learns classical piano at the State Musical School and eventually studies it at the Conservatoire. Maria's musical career begins in early school years: she participates in classical piano concerts, also at the State Philharmonic Hall in Tallinn. At the same time she makes her first steps as the lead vocalist in a pop band. That is when Maria writes her first melodies and lyrics which she successfully performs.
As time goes by, Maria Dangell evolves in a requested entertainer throughout Germany and Europe.
2007 Maria Dangell is chosen to be one of the ten finalists to the Festival of Italian Song in Munich (Gasteig) where she presents her own song "Il Sogno" ("The Dream") at piano accompanied by the symphonic orchestra.
2008 Maria translates one of the greatest Italian hits "La Vita Mia" into French, German and English and sings it in duet with its author, one of the most successful Italian songwriters and performers Amedeo Minghi in a four - language version accompanied by the Roman symphonic orchestra "Sinfionietta" (known through Ennio Morricone's soundtracks) directed by Renato Serio. The Live Recordings made in Auditorium di Conciliazione (Rome) has been published three times on CD as well as on DVD and broadcast on RAI UNO (the first Italian TV channel).
Later in the same year Maria records a single CD "The Heaven Of Milano" in duet with Bobby Kimball (the lead voice of the US Rock band "Toto"). The both artists who are also the authors of the English lyrics of the song present it together with the songwriter of the original Italian version "Il Cielo Di Milano" Francesco Baccini in a live concert dedicated to the Independent Music in Benevento (Italy).
Maria has been working on the project "Hearts of Peace in the Middle East" for several years. 2009 she sings the song "Jerusalem"("Gerusalemme") in Hebrew together with Amedeo Minghi (Italian) who wrote the song on Vatican's appeal for its Anniversary 2000, and Hakeem Abu Jaleela (arabic) in Italy, Malta and in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem (Israel) in presence of 1500 pilgrims and media.
Maria has been invited to be part of the Christmas tour 2009 / 2010 "GOSPEL PER LA PACE" ("GOSPEL FOR PEACE") alongside with Manuela Villa, Marcello Cirillo, Annalisa Minetti and some other successful Italian performers in Rome and Province.
Maria Dangell is a songwriter, singer and pianist who has a good command of eight languages (spoken, written and sung). Her clear, expressive and remarkable voice along with the excellent dynamics at the piano transports her intense joy, versatility and, above all, passion for music.
In the end of 2010 Maria Dangell founds a new multicultural musical project: "Passage To Love" - a journey through time and lands. Maria sings Pop, Rock, Soul and Chanson authentically in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Russian and Yiddish. She offers a selection of the most popular Songs of all times and her own compositions with elements of classical music. Her clear, expressive and remarkable voice twined with the elegant arrangements for Piano, Cello and two Guitars makes the harmony complete that leaves nobody indifferent. Maria Dangell & Pasage To Love have been on tour in Berlin.
Maria Dangell sang "Jerusalem" with Amedeo Minghi and Hakeem Abu Jaleela in Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome for Beatification of John Paul II in May 2011.
Maria Dangell performed on the Main Stage to the 19th Lesbian - Gay Festival Berlin (approx. 450.000 visitors) in June 2011.
