Born in Rome, Italy in 1981, picks up his first guitar at a very young age, first as a self-taught then with various teachers.
2000 - Marco follows the training at the Guitar_C.A.P. (Updating and Perfecting Center for Guitar) : "Training designed along the guides of the Howard Roberts' Musicians Institute (Hollywood, L.A.)"
and starts playing professionally with Francesca De Fazi, in live shows and on the album "Blues Dues".
In the same year he enrols at the Saint Louis College of Music where has the chance to further specialize in jazz guitar with Dario La Penna. Also follows the ensemble workshops by Stefano Sabatini.
2002 - He wins the scholarship for the Siena Jazz seminars
2003 - with his Juju Quartet he wins the Palazzo Valentini Award, and records the album "Tempi Provvisori" (Jazz Collection), starring Rosario Giuliani on sax. A collaboration also starts from there, for live gigs all around the area.
2005-2006 - always with his Juju Quartet wins the awards "Baronissi in Jazz" and "Antiphone Jazz".
2005-2008 - post-graduate advanced courses "Jazz's_Cool" at the Casa del Jazz in Rome, qualifying for the higest level and studying with Kurt Rosenwinkel. Furthermore he takes several master classes with the likes of Tomaso Lama, Pietro Condorelli,Bebo Ferra, Sylvian Luc, Sandro Gibellini, Enrico Pieranunzi; Kenny Werner, Salvatore Bonafede, Giovanni Mazzarino, Rosario Giuliani, Roberto Gatto, Gianluca Renzi.
He also enrols the D.A.M.S [Degree in fine arts, Music and drama] where he studies Musical Aesthetics, Harmony and Counterpoint, Electronic Music, Psychology of Music. He enrols the courses directed by Ettore Fioravanti at the Licinio Refice Conservatory.
2006 - plays with Roberto Gatto and records on his CD Traps (Cam Jazz).
2007 - records with Federica Zammarchi "Fyres and Pyres" (Dodicilune records). Also records and plays with Ettore Fioravanti, Gianluca Renzi. Aldo Bassi, Paolo Recchia, Giovanni Mazzarino, Stefano Sabatini.
He graduates at the Licinio Felice Conservatory.
He actually lives and plays in Rome.
Nato a roma l'11/07/1981 comincia a suonare la chitarra giovanissimo dapprima come autodidatta e in seguito con vari maestri privati.
Nel 2000 segue i corsi di formazione C.A.P. tenuti dal maestro
Gianfranco Diletti e intanto compie esperienza nei locali romani suonando con Francesca de fazi e incidendo con lei il disco " BLUES DUES".
Nello stesso anno si iscrive al Saint Louis College Of Music dove studia chitarra jazz con Dario Lapenna e segue i laboratori di musica d'insieme diretti da Stefano Sabatini. Nel 2002 vince la borsa di studio per i seminari di Siena Jazz e nel 2003, con il suo quartetto Juju Quartet, vince il premio Palazzo Valentini
grazie al quale registra il disco " TEMPI PROVVISORI " edito dalla Jazz Collection. Nel disco è ospite il sassofonista Rosario Giuliani, con il quale comincerà una collaborazione anche live nei locali della capitale.
Nel 2005, nel 2007 e nel 2008 segue i corsi di perfezionamento " jazz ' s cool " presso la Casa del Jazz a roma qualificandosi al terzo livello e studiando con Adam Rogers e Kurt Rosenwinkel.Inoltre segue numerose Masterclass con Tommaso Lama , Pietro Condorelli, Sylvian Luc,Bebo Ferra , Sandro Gibellini,enrico Pierannunzi, Kenny Werner,salvatore Bonafede, giovanni Mazzarino,Rosario Giuliani, Roberto Gatto, Gianluca Renzi.
Nel frattempo frequenta il D.A.M.S. di Tor Vergata dove ha sostenuto esami di Estetica Musicale, Armonia e Contrappunto,
Musica Elettronica, Psicologia della Musica etc. e si iscrive ai corsi di Jazz diretti da Ettore Fioravanti al Conservatorio Licinio Refice di Frosinone.
Nel 2005 e nel 2006 sempre con il gruppo Juju Quartet
si qualifica al primo posto nei concorsi di Baronissi in jazz e Antiphone jazz.
Nel 2006 suona nel quartetto di Roberto Gatto e infine è ospite nel disco del famoso batterista intitolato " TRAPS" ( CAM jazz 2007).
Nel 2008 registra con Federica Zammarchi il disco Fyres and Pyres edito da dodicilune records con Ettore Fioravanti, Gianluca Renzi, Aldo Bassi,Paolo Recchia.
É laureato in “ jazz “ al Conservatorio Licinio Refice di Frosinone.
Attualmente è impegnato in vari progetti nell'area romana.
Ha suonato con Rosario Giuliani, Roberto Gatto, Gianluca Renzi, Giovanni Mazzarino, Stefano Sabatini.Paolo Recchia.
