Maple Grove

Back from their illustrious careers as mullet riders, Maple Grove has re-established themselves as one of the most promising bands to come out of the saturated Utah local scene.



Maple Grove started in November of 2004 and quickly gained lauded acclaim for their brand of catchy electronic/indie/pop music, which can be compared to acts such as The Anniversary, The Hush Sound, Mates of State and Stars. Over the ensuing months they took part in various shows, sharing the stage with touring bands such as Nathaniel's Endeavors and Nothing Ever Stays, as well as performing with local legends Gift Anon (now Knife Show.) In April of 2005, they dropped their EP entitled Going Places.



With new release in hand and a bucket full of merch, Maple Grove set off on their first ever multi-state tour in late April 2005, which took them through Utah, Arizona, California, Nevada, and Idaho. After their West Coast tour titled "This Tour is Going Places," Maple Grove split up due to circumstances out of their control.



Maple Grove has burst back onto the local Utah scene. They were recently crowned CHAMPIONS (out of 20 bands) of the Velour Battle of the Bands and finished 2nd overall (out of 20 bands) in the Muse Music Battle of the Bands. The Battle of the Bands shows were their first in over two and a half years. Maple Grove's love of music comes out not only in their songs but also in their energy-driven, crowd-hyping, hands-clapping, and foot-stomping live shows.
