We feel very blessed to have been selected as the top club night amongst our highly respected San Francisco club scene. Having been around less than a year makes this even more special that we have been recognized as one of the most innovative and ground-breaking nights; In fact we are the only underground night representing Dubstep, Reggae/Dancehall, DnB, Breakbeat or Global sounds to even have been nominated!

Maneesh the Twister is founder of Surya Dub, the next level in Global Dubwize Vibes and Dread Bass Culture. His vision is to unite all dubwize communities from Roots Reggae to Dubstep and Ragga to Dread Bass Breakbeat and Drum'n'Bass to Bhangra, S. Asian Electronica and Global Bass Beat Bizness. Originating from ancient Sanskrit ‘Surya’ means Sun or Solar and with this energy combining with the bass heavy aesthetic of Dub, rises Surya Dub.
He was also co-founder of the Dhamaal Artist Collective, which had been championing hybrids of South Asian audio and visual art for over 7 years. His productions appear on Dhamaal's debut Dhamaal Soundsystem CD which entered the I-tunes top 20 Electronic charts and also on Dhamaal's Transition EP under the moniker Echotwist with production partner Jethro. Also his track "Frankie's Next Move" was recently licensed to XBOX 360 game "Project Gotham" and SONY BMG India's Shamur compilation!
Maneesh has quite varied tastes and spins dub reggae, dubstep, breakbeat, drum'n'bass, dancehall, global beats, and anything with BASS. Being heavily influenced by dub reggae, he is also a resident of the longest running weekly dub & roots night in the United States, Dub Mission, which is 12+ years and dubbing! He also held international residencies in Mumbai and Bangkok at Bed Supperclub in Thailand. In addition to his club jocking, Maneesh has been rinsing the airwaves from KNNC in Austin, TX to KUSF in SF.
Maneesh toured all over the states, India and the UK. Maneesh has shared the stage with Lee "Scratch" Perry, Thievery Corporation, Francois K, Kode 9, Adrian Sherwood (On-U sound), The Bug & Warrior Queen, Flying Lotus, State of Bengal, Smith & Mighty, Karsh Kale, Nickodemus, J Boogie, Navdeep, Z-Trip, Solomonic Sound (Rob Paine), Bobby & Nihal, DJ Hatcha, Headhunter, Blutech, Zakhm, Badmarsh & Shri, MIDIval PunditZ, 2562, Gas Lamp Killer, Dum Dum Project, Cheb I Sabbah, Dan the Automator, Mark 1, Badawi, Lyrics Born, Dub Gabriel, Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi, & the legendary Jamaican producer, Scientist and performed at Power to the Peaceful and VH1 New Years on Baga Beach!
