. MAKO PRESS RELEASE 2011.



It has been a busy year in the MAKO camp. Firstly the band were chosen by the Academy of Art and Science, to be on the final ballot for a Grammy in 4 categories, including Best Rock Album (LIVING ON AIR) and Best Rock Song ('MISS ALISON')-the latter was released as a single on the 24th September 2011, download for free at www.makotunes.com
Secondly MAKO signed a deal with Indie Label MAGNATUNE in the USA.
Rounding off 2011 the band have played a few Irish gigs and have just returned from a successful tour of Brazil, where they shot a video for their new single which will be released in the New Year.
2012 looks set to be an even busier year, with MAKO scheduled to return to Brazil in February and a tour of the UK to follow.
Currently they are working on a new album.
MAKO will be playing Cork and surrounding area this Christmas both acoustically and electric.
