A mediados del 2005 Mauricio, Federico, Juan Camilo, Felipe y Juan Pablo se
reúnen para crear MAJUA, una joven agrupación que fusiona sonidos
colombianos con el pop y el rock, para plasmar sentimientos en cada una de
las canciones que componen e interpretan.
“Lleno de Ti” se tituló el primer demo que MAJUA presentó al público, el cual logró gran aceptación y difusión en las emisoras de varios colegios de Bogotá, acontecimiento que los llevó a participar en grandes eventos saliendo triunfadores en muchos de ellos.
Viendo la acogida que poco a poco consiguió MAJUA fueron invitados para celebrar los 10 años de la Revista Shock en Villavicencio y Bogotá.
Finalizando el 2005 cargado de triunfos, los integrantes de MAJUA, deciden grabar en estudio su primer objetivo comercial y radial, es entonces cuando conocen a Nicolás Rodríguez con quien producen “Usted Me Encanta” en los estudios de Sonido Comercial Publicitario, bajo el sello SCP MUSIC.
“Usted Me Encanta” fue el primer sencillo que se lanzó al mercado, una canción escrita por Mauricio Tejeiro voz líder de la banda, a quien una niña no le prestó atención hasta después de escribirle “es que usted me encanta, su mirada me mata, daría lo que fuera por un beso suyo”…
El trabajo que MAJUA viene realizando a través de los jóvenes Colombianos se ve reflejado en lo resultados obtenidos con sus éxitos ocupando los primeros lugares de los listados radiales en las emisoras a nivel nacional.
Algunos reconocimientos fueron las nominaciones a los Premios Shock 2007 y 2008 en las categorías “ Mejor artista revelación” y “ Mejor artista Pop” respectivamente.
Participación en eventos masivos compartiendo tarima con artistas internacionales tales como: RBD, La oreja de Van Gogh , Juan Fernando Velasco, Luís Fonsi, Axel, Jorge Villamizar entre otros.
MAJUA lanza su primer trabajo discográfico titulado ¨Tiempo Perfecto¨ nombre que le da titulo a su mas reciente sencillo.
El álbum fue producido por Santiago Hernández y Grabado en: Audiovisión, Sonido Comercial y Master Inc. Audio en Bogotá Colombia.
La mezcla fue realizada en Miami – USA por Shafik Palis en Golden Door Studios y masterizado por Mike Couzzi en Mico Mastering, (Miami – USA) donde se han mezclado trabajos de artistas Colombianos como: Fonseca, Fanny Lu entre otros.

“Tiempo Perfecto” (Perfect Time)
In mid-2005, Mauricio, Federico, Juan Camilo, Felipe and Juan Pablo came together to create MAJUA, a young musical group that fuses Colombian rhythms with pop and rock in order to best convey the feelings of each and every one of the original songs they compose and interpret.
“Lleno de Ti” (“Filled with You”) is the title of the first demo that MAJUA released to the public, which achieved wide acceptance and diffusion throughout high school radio stations in Bogotá. Their immediate popularity among a younger set launched them into a series of competitive performances, and MAJUA emerged triumphant in the majority of these events.
The popular magazine, Revista Shock, recognized the rising appeal of MAJUA, and invited them to celebrate the magazine’s 10-year anniversary in Villavicencio and Bogotá.
Finishing 2005 triumphantly, the band members of MAJUA decide to conduct their first formal studio recording intended for commercial and radio release. At this point they meet Nicolás Rodríguez, with whom they produce “Usted Me Encanta” (“You Enchant Me”) in the Sonido Comercial Publicitario studios, under the SCP Music seal.
Mauricio Tejeiro, the band’s lead vocalist, wrote “Usted Me Encanta,” the first single they released. His lyrics were inspired by unrequited love – unrequited, that is, until he penned the now famous lines, “…it’s just that you enchant me, your gaze kills me inside, I would do anything for one kiss of yours…”
The hard work of MAJUA’s band members is reflected in their rise to the top of the charts of Colombia’s national radio stations. They have received numerous accolades, including Premio Shock nominations in 2007 for “Best New Artist,” and 2008 for “Best Pop Artist”. They have participated in major music festivals, sharing the stage with internationally recognized artists such as RBD, La oreja de Van Gogh, Juan Fernando Velasco, Luís Fonsi, Axel, and Jorge Villamizar among others.
MAJUA launches its first record album, “Tiempo Perfecto,” (“Perfect Time”) named after its most recent single. The album was produced by Santiago Hernández and was recorded in Audiovisión, Sonido Comercial y Master Inc. Audio, in Bogotá, Colombia. Shafik Pakis of Golden Door Studios in Miami, Florida, mixed the sound, and Mike Couzzi digitally mastered the album in Mico Mastering, also in Miami. Other highly visible Colombian artists, such as Fonseca and Fanny Lu, among others, have turned to these Miami sound engineering firms. “Tiempo Perfecto” indeed comes at the perfect time and promises to be a complete hit!!!!
