MaddZart is a complex entertainer who came onto the scene with a bang as a young Vincy Dancehall King. He quickly developed into prolific and unstoppable song writer, producer and entertainer in St Vincent and the Grenadines and the rest of the Caribbean. The diversity of this artiste is astounding. His dynamic energy onstage as well as his lyrical ability are phenomenal.

His credits include Road March, Soca Monarch, Ragga Soca Monarch, Entertainer of the Year, Band Leader of the Madd Symphony and teaming up with international Soca artiste Kevin Lyttle to write and perform the original version of Turn me on.
MaddZart joined the local party band Blaksand in June 2000, and was part of the team that launched Blaksand's album for Carnival that year. The album included his Soca smasher, 'Town Song'. From the launch of this first Soca hit MaddZart immediately became a household name. His distinctive style, his outstanding performance and the unmitigated popularity of the song rocketed him to second place in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Soca Monarch competition. This success quickly generated regional and international demand, and before year end, he would perform far and wide, from Barbados and Grenada, to North America and England.
The year 2001 proved to be even more successful for MaddZart, with his major hit 'Poor People's Anthem'. This gem, is testimony to MaddZart's depth, and his ability to capture the emotion and reality of some facets of society and create a universally relevant cry for the suffering. This song earned him the title of first ever, local Ragga Soca Monarch, and saw the start of the unbridled upward spiral of MaddZarts career. Another of his renowned songs is 'Helicopter', which never ceases to create a storm in clubs and fetes. Though facing tough competition, he easily secured the second place in the Soca Monarch competition and emerged among the top three the Road March competition. 2001 was also the year when he teamed up with Kevin Lyttle to pen and perform the international Soca/Dancehall hit Soca"Turn me on".
In 2002 MaddZart once again managed to maintain his place in the top three in the Soca Monarch competition with his 'Wind Song'. He also extended his artistic skills by writing, producing and arranging for an artiste that went on to place second in the Junior Soca monarch competition; he penned songs for two other Soca Monarch finalists in that same year.
In an encore worthy, breath taking performance, party goers and judges at the 2003 National Soca Monarch finals were captivated and stunned by his rendition of Motorcade "Bikers Anthem". The song which secured him his first ever Soca Monarch crown after being most favored to win on a number of occasions. This excitement continued onto the streets for Jouvert, Monday street party and Tuesday's Madi Gras placing him again in the top three for the Road March competition. Success continued as he was voted, (in a people's poll) the 2003 entertainer of the year, and also finished third in the 2003 Raga Soca monarch competition.
