Started DJ'ing early, dreaming earliernot quite when they were hooking up turntables to light posts for electricity but soon after.'88 '89. Ask anyone who has that sort of longevity … they know bout me. D-NICE and other originatorsJOAN JETT. Started doing pizza places in BK and Queens, sweet 16's and block parties early too playing the records my pops had in the basement closet and the samples I heard on my hip-hop records, BDP samples and keyboard rhythms. Because I was basically raised by my mom and her 4 sisters, I was fascinated watching them go out at night to clubs. I would tag along and hang w the DJ's.I was sitting in the booth at 12 learning how to mix. I remember hearing some old guido shit while watching Simon Lebon from DURAN DURAN dance"Whatcha gonna do when u get out of jail?" "I'm gonna have some fun"at that moment I decided music was my thing and from that point on I just started picking up instruments. Taught myself guitar, bass, and a lil’ piano. age 12 I bought my first pair of turntables and a gemini mixer w the big ass gem tower speakers. At 14 caught a lil’ opportunity w KID N PLAY rhyming over Tribe Called Quest beats and shit. Stealing cars to write graffiti and hit the clubs on Queens Blvddoing mashups w Rock n Roll and Hip Hop aint new. Neither are acoustic jam sessions at art galleries. I used LES dive bars to practice my crafts.Guitar and shit. I was doin it as a teen4 turntables, 8 tracks and all that outdated shit.the rest is history

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD parties in London and NYC, BAD BOY RECORDS, PATRICIA FIELDS.Launch parties for RALPH LAUREN, POLO JEANS, TOMMY HILFIGER, ELLE, (all the while learning from master Mark Baker not to take any short cutsdef helping me pay my dues.) Millenium parties in Bali.the clubs, models, etc. .the first WHITE PARTY for PUFFY at BAROLO then CIPRIANI.shows at TRAMPS w BIGGIE, MOS DEFopened for WU-TANG.GHOST FACEMICKEY AVALON.what else? BRIDGEHAMPTON POLO.blah blah blah.not neceserally all in order.all while simultaneously building my rock n roll career.at age 21 I was working on tours at ICM for people like ROD STEWART, PETER GABRIELLE, FATBOY SLIM (NORMAN) and THE ALLMAN BROS . eventually to assist super agent JOHNNY PODEL at his new agency.and helping DJ CASSIDY build his career.
meanwhile touring LUFTHANSA HEIST (my band) all over Japan opening live for JOAN JETTwe made it all the way down to Guantanamo Bay w the USO right after 911. LH opened for THE NEW YORK DOLLS and L.A. GUNS for the Japanese New Year, made it to Iceland every year for music festivalsthen back to NYC, playing all the venues from CBGB to MERCURY LOUNGKNITTING FACTORY to SUMMERSTAGE. Phillies THE PONTIAC, D.C.'s 930 CLUB.THE STONE PONY, ASBURY PARK.again, not necessarily in order
