Michael Maxwell, 24 (Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin) and Tyler Mayo, 24 (Guitar, Vocals, Piano): Loxey Burton was formed in early 2003 as a Singer/ Songwriter country duo with influences ranging from Rock to Country Swing. The duo continued to play local live events across the state of Texas, eventually opening shows for singer/ songwriters such as Kevin Fowler, Mike McClure and many others. With help in the studio from Asleep at the Wheel, Mickey and the Motor Cars, The Austin Symphony, Ronnie Wilson and Adam Odor, Loxey Burton released their first unofficial self-titled CD in 2005. Songs like The Price You Pay, Tennessee State of Mind, and For What its Worth saw immediate air-time in radio stations across the southwest United States. The sound is an eclectic and pleasing one, rendering a mix and match of The Eagles, Little Texas, Simon and Garfunkel, and Bob Seger. Meticulous guitar work and incredible writing accompany flawless vocal harmonies making these two an unmatched singer/ songwriter pair- live, or in the studio. Hooten Hawkins, 2006
