"To rearrange the deranged and entertain the estranged."

Part Alice in Wonderland, part Alice in Hell, Daisy Chainsaw pushed the envelope with their wild style, frantic sound and hypnotic force. Lead singer Katie Jane Garside swung the pendulum in vocal performance from sweet innocence to rabid dog. The band's performance was a symphony of collective energy, waving you through their maze of emotions, both darkness and light. Eleventeen is nothing like you've ever heard.

The band clobbered the UK indie singles chart with back-to-back number one hits, "Love Your Money" and "Pink Flower." The songs generated great support at alternative & college radio and earned loads of video airplay on 120 Minutes and local outlets. Press discovered the band's unusual visual style, with feature interviews in Fashion, Sassy, Alternative Press, B-side and Spin.

The band's live performance earned them outstanding approval around the globe. Daisy Chainsaw created a circus-like atmosphere as the stage for their music.

Daisy Chainsaw were a bunch of disturbed kids with evil genius in their eyes and murderous intent in their hearts.

"They were like a Punk and Goth band combined, with some indie and grunge elements, which made perfect sense during the early 90's, and they had a massive commercial streak buried intrinsically inside every violently energetic or claustrophobically moody song. They were by far and away the best live band I ever saw, and also the one band who could have been massive internationally, but fucked it all up by making their debut album all but impenetrable, when "Love Your Money" made an immediate impact as a single, and they had other songs which could have been even bigger. They should have taken over from Nirvana as the noisiest band around who had charisma, commercial possibilities and were never likely to be toned down. Instead they went weird. [Katie Jane] would turn up at gigs wearing a blanket. She is unusual. In fact she looked like she could have come straight out of the pages of Sandman, if anyone's into comics." ~ Mick Mercer, Photographer

Katie Jane Garside and Crispin Gray are currently back together as 21st Century Goth Punks, QueenAdreena. Richard Adams has collaborated with QueenAdreena and is currently in New Disease. Crispin Gray and Vince Johnson also recently reunited to form The Dogbones, while Katie Jane Garside takes a break to focus on her solo material, which most recently includes Ruby Throat.

This profile is NOT maintained by Daisy Chainsaw or QueenAdreena. It is run by a fan who wants to help introduce new listeners to the bands music as well as recapture a love for the original fans. There is no affiliation or contact with the band, just a love for them, their music and a want to spread the word about them and the noise they made.
