Like a hitch-hiker on a dark lonely street, its time to meet your Lover! Hailing from Newcastle, NSW, Lover are a three piece gloom-pop-indie-rock act drawing inspiration from the likes of XTC , The Cure, and Bloc Party.



Lover are a reputed hard-working band, constantly touring the east coast over the past 3 years, performing alongside Datarock (Norway), Lost Valentinos, Midnight Juggernauts, Damn Arms, Young & Restless, British India, Dukes Of Windsor, Mercy Arms, Sparkadia, The Mess Hall & After The Fall.



Their 2007 self titled debut release, turned heads with the award winning dance floor cutter ‘NEVER’ (2006 ABC Newcastle Music Awards, Best Rock Performance), recorded under the sonic guidance of four time ARIA award nominee Rob Taylor (The Whitlams, INXS).



Their second EP, Face In Colour, released late in 2008 with the aid of Green distribution,

received airplay on Triple J & FBI radio.



Now, after 4 years of flogging the arse out of it, Lover have decided to take a break and pursue other interests for a while. The End.
