Originally from the Philadelphia area, 21 year-old Lotus has been producing R&B, Hip-hop, and pop music since she was fourteen. Beginning classical violin lessons at the age of three, she has developed a strong ear for pitch, rhythm, and harmonies. Lotus began her career in music production when her neighbor, an R&B producer/songwriter, noticed her making songs on her brother's piano. Sensing potential, he lent her an old keyboard workstation to "see what she could do" and she has been hooked since, leading to the replacement of her violin lessons with this new instrument. Making beats fused her love of hip-hop with more than a decade of classical training, creating atmospheres of energy, drama, and passion- regardless of the mood and genre. Lotus has played background strings for hit single "Hold You Down" (JLo and Fat Joe) and "What Should I Do" (Fabolous feat Lil' Mo). She trained for a year with r&b production company, The Orange Factory (managed by New Heights Entertainment and work with Fabolous, Duro, Cipha Sounds, Freeway, Amadeus, Jay Sean.).

Lotus currently plays violin freelance and also for pop/acoustic singer, Rachel Platten.

As a minority in this male-dominated field, this Filipino female brings in the next generation of producers and doesn't plan to back down any time soon.
