Before you judge 'Lost Souljah' for her gender, listen to her story and then judge her on her skills.
A North London thouroughbred of Indian/West-Indian descent, she has defied all the cliches and opposition that female Mcs need to overcome, and has racked up an impressive portfolio of recorded material and live performances.
Her experience belies her age: from recording an underground joint with Lewsis Parker, "Blood", in 2003, making it into the top playlists of Disorda and Shortee Blitz. While many have the passion but few are able to match their ambition with success, 'Souljah' has fared better than many, with her single being the best seller in MSN Records in Camden in 2003.
Hot on the heels of this success she supported Jehst and Terrafirma on tour, and can now draw on a rich pool of experience to further her career and expand her horizon.
But like any true soldier, the next day is always going to be equally hard as the last, and the stakes are continuously raised. Moreover, she represents the true essence of what soldiers should strive for: to help those in need, and aid those that do not have the needs to see the truth. Life is grimey and it takes a grimey MC to survive and spread the message.

BIG SMOKE REVIEW
Lewis Parker ft. Lost Souljah
Blood b/w Mr. Parker's Siesta
Dusty Vinyl
"Always nice to see a seasoned vet bringing through a hot young talent, and Lost Souljah is certainly that - I don't know exactly how old she is but this girl has skills beyond her years, and on 'Blood' is given a rolling drum-heavy soundscape to do her thang over, droppin' some (GCSE?) science and showing serious potential for the future. On the b-side Lewis once again provides the melodies, this time on the bouncy bass-driven 'Mr. Parker's Siesta', where he takes control of the mic device himself to let us all know about some issues that have been bothering him and disturbing his beauty sleep. Some nicely built lyrics from Lewis and another of his huge collection of killer unheard beats make for another nice slab of wax for your L.P. library. should keep your appetite satisfied until the release of the forthcoming instrumental LP, can't wait. "Lewis Parker had a sleep and woke up with a vision to set up his own label, The World Of Dusty Vinyl was born. In stock now is a limited run of his first 12", featuring a double whammy of fresh Parker production. One side is a new 19 year old female MC from North London named Lost Souljah, she show's some definate promise on this her first release spittin pure venom on 'Blood'. The flip is Lewis on the mic, over a rugged beat topped off nicely with a dope bass groove throughout, and a nice cut up chorus too. The World Of Dusty Vinyl has arrived my friends." BIG SMOKE REVIEW.
Lost Souljah - Western World
Beezwax Productions
By Whome, 2006
"North Londoner Lost Souljah is making some big moves, doing the rounds from 1Xtra to the Asian Network to the All City show on XFM. She has been representing for a while now since recording Blood with Lewis Parker back in 2003 and has been on tour with the likes of Jehst and Terrafirma and featured on MKs mixtape London Underground. 'Lost Souljah' is putting this latest single CD out on Beez Wax, which Western World is a classical style beat, simple clever with the fast paced vocal which stands out well. With topics like terrorism, suffering and greed these verses make more sense than over half of other rappers Ive heard for a long old time. Her Myspace page has more to check out including tracks like Cash Doe, Whos Real and my favourite Deep 50 Bars. Lost Souljahs future is bright. "
