Lost In Victory - So Here We Are (Live, Edwards Number 8, Birmingham, September 2nd 2006)

Lost In Victory started back in late 2002 in the suburbs of Birmingham, England in a town called Solihull. Criso And Lloyd were heavily into skateboarding, and thats how they got introduced to punk rock. Cris asked Jjay a friend from school who he knew could play the drums, to drum in the band. The line-up was complete. The Name was decided . Lost In Victory.

The Band began playing shows anywhere they possibly could. Delivering a raw, fresh sound which alot of people compared to Anti-Flag, The Sex Pistols and more.

By the time 2004 had come around the band had recorded their first few demos, and had played a fair amount of shows around Birmingham. By Xmas 2004 the hype was up in the local scene and 2005 seemed promising for the teenage 3 piece It was .

2005 Came around and Cris befriended a band called The Explosion from Boston on Virgin Records. A band that LIV had grew up listening too. The XPLSN liked what they heard and said LIV could open up a show for them on their UK tour. LIV got to play at the Birmingham Academy 2 with a band they've admired for a long time. LIV were getting bigger in their home city.

Their unique brand of punk rock then won them an opening slot with the UKs very own punk legends the Anti-Nowhere League at the Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall near the end of 2005. By this time the band had finished recording their DIY full length CD, Living Timebomb, which was recorded in Criso's dining room.

2005 came to an end. In this year the band had won band of the week 3 times on www.nutunes.co.uk (an independent music site, which promotes signed and unsigned acts). This putting them into the vote for band of the year 2005 at nutunes.co.uk. The band were up against tough competition, bands that were signed and already on TV. BUT . They won it, people voted and they won. So 2005 was a great year for the band.

2006 Seems promising The band are still playing a handful of shows around the West Midlands and anywhere they can around the country. They are currently writing more new material with a new sense of confidence behind them.

Watch out. Lost In Victory are here to stay. Tearing down this emo shit and bringing back some real music to the scene !!
