The idea of a making a band was brought up as a joke by original members David, Emilio, Miguel and Juan one day in 2004. None of them were particularly good at the instruments they took on, but practice eventually proved its worth in October 2006 as the band played its first show in Compton, with Jose [sax] and Charlie [trumpet] completing the horn line. That show was played under the original name "Kadena Perpetua" and without a vocalist. The band knew that changes had to be made if they were to continue playing shows.

They invited Potter to front the group and changed the name to "Los Arambula" after discovering a band from Argentina calling themselves a name too similar to their original name. Soon thereafter they would have a few staff changes, and the addition of Isaac on timbales, Ray on the trombone and Liz supplementing the hornline as the 2nd trumpet, Los Arambula started playing shows anywhere and everywhere and soon gained recognition around Los Angeles and Southern California.

In July 2007, original drummer Emilio had to leave the band and move to San Diego State University on a full football scholarship, leaving behind a huge gap to be filled.

The band was lucky that Mando, the drummer from local band "The Abjects" was willing to give them a hand and drum for them for a while, even though he had never drummed ska. He picked up quick and soon thereafter they were making new songs, bringing his punk influence into the band. He soon became the permanent drummer.

The final piece to the puzzle would come in after the band had been together almost a year and a half. Adrian was asked if he'd join the band, making it a two-vocalist group. His unique vocal style and his Hip Hop background gave Los Arambula a sound that has never been heard before, and can only be explained through demonstration.

Unfortunately, in August 2008 the band's original vocalist Potter left the band for personal reasons, leaving them with a spot to fill. After a few attempts at finding a replacement vocalist, it was decided that the guitar player Juan would be the best fit.

Up to this day, Los Arambula have shared the stage with numerous groups, including some of the most influential and acomplished bands in the Ska genre such as:
