Adolescent’s Orchesta” is a group of young Venezuelans aged between 18 and 26, who arrived on the tropical music scene in 1995. Lead by four singers and the highly talented director Porfi Baloa, “Adolescent’s Orchestra” launched their first album “Reclamando Nuestro Espacio” in February, 1996. Two tracks, “Anhelo” and “Hoy Aprendi” were chosen as singles. Since their initial radio play, “Anhelo” won song of honor and continued to receive extensive play throughout North and South America, especially in New York, Miami area and all over Europe.



A total of six songs from this first album occupied first place on the charts in Venezuela and other neighboring countries.This is a record for a group who had so recently been launched. “Reclamando Nuestro Espacio” was awarded Gold Record Sales in May during the same year (Disco de Oro).



“Adolescent’s Orchestra’s” second album, “Persona Ideal” was launched in 1997 and also awarded Gold after only five weeks in the charts. One month later, “Persona Ideal” was re-awarded Double Platinum after its sales continued to soar. This album includes the tracks , “Arrepentida” and “Clase Social”, and the single “Me Tengo Que Ir” wich exceeded all expectations by breaking numerous records on the tropical music charts.



Their third album, “La Misma Pluma” (Nov 1998), also went Gold during its first months on sale. Including the hits, “Huellas”, “Me Nego”, “Si Te Marchas” and “Jugando a Ganar” (title song to the Venezuelan mini-series), this album was widely received in Europe and paved the way for their initial European tours. Most recently, Korta Record’s released a greatest hits compilation disc, “Millenium Hits” (Nov 1999) to date , sales have exceeded 100,000 units.



In 1999, the four lead singers of the “Adolescent’s Orchestra” went on to land feature roles as actors in the Venezuelan miniseries, “Jugando a Ganar”.Produced by Venevisión in Venezuela, “Jugando a Ganar” was sold and distributed to more than ten countries worldwide, including Colombia, Chile canal 11, Ecuador canal 2, Nicaragua canal 12, Costa Rica canal 6, Guatemala canal 3, Panama canal 13, Honduras canal 5, Peru canal Panamericana and Univision in U.S.A.
