On radio and primetime TV, you've heard her voice. Lori Nuic has been blowing away audiences with her soulful vocal range. Since garnering a slew of accolades, including the Rhythm of the Future talent search, she has been focusing her time in the studio to put her unique brand of soul down onto wax.
Its impossible to pigeonhole her - she knows how to reel someone in and keep them listening. Her most recent accolade includes a trip to the winner's circle at the Honey Jam, where she won the Flow 93.5 Hook-Up Prize of song production with the critically acclaimed artist and producer Saukrates. She won The Beat 91.5 New Hit Music's 'Rhythm of the Future' talent search followed by a clean sweep of the competition to earn the popular Urban Star Quest national title at Canadian Music Week.
Since the release of her debut CD, Red Book Chronicles, Lori has travelled around the world. She's performed in South America, the United Kingdom & The U.A.E. (@ the 2008 Dubai International Jazz Festival). She's also performed at the world - renowned Calgary Stampede, NXNE and CMW. She opened for Simply Red (@ The Sony Centre), Maceo Parker, Raul Midon, Arrested Development, David Ford as well as other major label artists including Jully Black, Divine Brown, Keshia Chante, Sean Desman and Moka Only (Swollen Members) to name a few.
Lori has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, Canada AM, Sun TV, Breakfast Television in Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg and Urban Rush in Vancouver. She has also been featured in publications such as the National Post, Canadian Musician Magazine & The Metro News.
