SUMMER 2008- Littles, Founder of The Urban Global DVD Awards.COMING SUMMER 2008!

Queensbridge has a tradition. It has a legacy in rap. In fact, it's fame is spread so far and wide you may have thought it was a borough of it's own, or maybe even a whole city. Roxanne Shante, MC Shan, Nas, Mobb Deep, Tragedy, Cormeaga, Caponethe list goes on and on. It may come as shock then to realize that Queensbridge isn't a city, or a borough, but a housing project. One project in New York that gave birth to so many famous rappers? It must be something in the water. Or maybe there's a cipher in every hallway. Or maybe it's so damned brutal to live in it inspires people to struggle and strive just to get out. Whatever the case may be, the self-proclaimed next big thing from Queensbridge is a rapper quixotically named Littles.

If you follow the QB scene, you might know Littles already. Raised in Queens Bridge, on the 41st side of Vernon, Alfredo Bryan, aka "Littles" is definitely the Best of the Block. Littles, who's known to QB as Lil' Lord, dabbled heavily in the drug game, along with his partner Killa Black in the early '90s. His main goal at the age of fifteen was getting money in the streets along with his partner. Eventually the street life caught up to Littles and he served five years in prison.

Once release, he knew he had to play a different game. Littles immediately embarked on his mission, recording joints with fellow MCs; Raekwon, Nature, Nas, and Mobb Deep. Time paid off as Littles matured with his cocky flow and grimy rotten apple street-parables. It helped win him cameo appearances later on Prodigy's solo gold album, "H.N.I.C.", Mobb Deep's "Infamy", which sold 1.5 million, and their latest 2004 "Amerikaz Nightmare" release, Tragedy Khadafi's , "Still Reporting", Nas' platinum album, "The QB Finest", "Lake presents The 41st Side" and Virgin 2, Billy Crawford, 3 x platinum album. Littles has also featured and appears on over 600 street mixtapes and/or DVDs this year (at least that we can account for).

Refusing to sign to a major label and play the label waiting game, Littles decided to work independently and developed, Best of the Block Inc. He pressed up and hit the road, to self market his debut album and very first CD/DVD combo ever pressed, "The Feeding", from the trunk of his rental car. He promoted his company and album through local radio and live shows. "The Feeding" did not just come with nineteen tracks of war rhetoric, but also a home DVD where Littles took us on the road with him and Mobb Deep as well as into the lion's den in Queens Bridge. The album features production from Alchemist, Havoc (of Mobb Deep), Sha Self, and EZ Elpee. "The Feeding" also features appearances from Mobb Deep, Big Noyd, and Tragedy Khadafi as well. His remote reflection and strong glorification is real too. There is no moment of excuses. And despite Littles' dream to get out of the hood breathing, as he says on "Presidents", one of the best on his debut, "The Feeding", there's a certain amount of strong re-pondering. Littles promoted and distributed over 20,000 copies of "The Feeding", on his own. Along the way, Littles developed a rapport with mom-and-pop record stores, distributors like Topline, Big Apple, Liaison, Traffic and chains up and down the eastern and Midwestern seaboards and getting write ups and reviews in magazines such as Source, XXL, Vibe, Fridge, Mass Appeal, True, Elemental, Vice, Get Busy (U.K), and Rap US (U.K). Before long, Best of the Block was ringing bells not only in the U.S., but nationwide as well.

Littles has also distributed "The Infamous Allegiance Part 1 & 2", an up close and personal DVD/CD featuring Hip Hop super group Mobb Deep at Prodigy and Havoc. "The American Dream" CD/DVD, "The Best of Littles" and his latest DVD release "The Dime-Frontstage", which includes footages of Mobb Deep's "Amerikaz Nightmare" album release he booked and promoted. Guest appearances include Busta Rhymes, The Roots, Raekwon

Littles took his earning from "The Feeding" along with his advance and royalty money and reinvested into single-handedly booking a 21 venue, 30-date tour for Mobb Deep throughout the East and West Coast, which he owned 100 % of the door and half of the bar. Littles is the only artist/agent to ever book a major artist on a paid tour without ever having to pay an artist's management a single red cent (Violator Management).

Mobb Deep was so impressed with his work, that in 2004, they replaced their management of 12 years, Chris Lighty, of Violator Records, and made Littles, not only their new manager, but Senior VP Infamous Records, their joint venture on Jive. Littles acted as a liaison between the group, Jive Records and outside labels, vendors, promoters, radio, TV, and magazines. He took his booking experience to another level and routed Mobb's radio, retail and promo touring on the label. He setup tactics and marketing strategies to impact sales on "Amerikaz Nightmare", nationally and overseas.

After a highly publicized split and parting ways with Mobb Deep, Littles put the grind and focus back into his career. Although Littles still considers himself a rapper first, the former Mobb Deep manager began directing and producing DVDs years ago. In 2005 he released his smash selling street CD/DVD "Reloaded: The Ghetto Documentary of Queensbridge". His production and skills behind the camera were so impressive that this year that a few major labels have contracted Littles and his Best of the Block production crew to produce, direct, and edit DVDs for their urban recording artists.

This summer 2006, Littles produced and distributed his first DVD on a major label, Universal Records which released, "Littles presents Chamillionaire: The East Coast Shakedown" Their first project centered on Houston-based platinum selling rapper, Chamillionaire. Jive Records jumped on the Best of the Block wagon next, and hired Littles to do production on a new fresh act they just signed out of the south, M.O. S.

Aside from his upcoming work with Universal and Jive, Littles is currently working on his next release "The New Industry Bible" Best of the Block DVD series with VH1, where artists like Beanie Sigel, Master P and Jadakiss describe how to break into the industry.

Littles is also in the studio wrapping up his debut official major release album "The Streets Will Listen", which he is shopping to find the best home for. This CD/DVD features production from Havoc of Mobb Deep, who is also the co executive producer, Emile, Goody & Sha Self. Featuring artist are, Jazz (from Dru Hill), Petey Pablo, Havoc, Tragedy Khadafi, Rass Kass, Raekwon, and others alike.

Littles set his sights on his dream and went after it. He's maneuvered and dipped in the artist end, the management end, and the business end of this competitive industry. He's not only managed to make a name for himself within the industry, but has stamped an impression and has developed a fan base of his own.

Littles has not yet dropped a major LP or signed to a major label, but his name has gathered a buzz in leading hip-hop magazines, mixtapes and radio shows. With such a history of greatness coming from such a concentrated area, 6 blocks to be exact, the expectations of this MC are anything but little. Littles has clearly made his mark and is looking to write his own page in the history book!
