After releasing their first EP in 2000, Littel Neal & the Blue Flames toured a lot in foreign countries to make theirselves a name. The Highlights of their tourlife were shows like the A-Bombers in Sweden, the Bedrock Weekender in Danmark, Rockin' Around Turnhout in Belgium and Hemsby, where they showed up in October 2003.
Furthermore they rocked the Netherlands, Austria, Swiss and Spain. After tearing these place apart, they went to the Lightning Recording Studios in spring 2004 to record their first Longplayer. The result are 9 self-penned Songs and 6 Coversongs, which were released on Rhythm Bomb Records in October 2005. With their habitualy dynamic style and a fuller sound Little Neal & the Blue Flames are doing their stint to keep Rock'n'Roll alive.
After their debut in 2005, the 50's Rock'n'Roll Band Little Neal & The Blues Flames from Berlin released their second Longplayer in 2008, called "High School Cosh". Recorded at the "Lightning Recorders Studio" and published by "Rhythm Bomb Records" (RBR 5660) the album comes with 12 very diverse songs. Most of the songs (eight) are self-penned numbers.
The album starts with 2 coversongs: AL Casey's " Willa Mae", spiced up with a driving piano and followed by Chuck Berry's "You Can't Catch Me". After that, 2 selfpenned songs will coddle your ear: "Referee Of Love" will let you think of Bo Diddley, while the themesong "High School Cosh" seems to point a more Teddyboy-way. After listening to these forst four tracks, you already can imagine the great variety of this album. Some other highlights are "Don't Call My Baby Yours", a very cool danceable fingersnappin jiver, or "Oh! Plasure Me" and „Engine Trouble", both good rockin' Rockabilly songs. Two other songs have to be mentioned here: We're talkin about an excellent cover of Jay Swan's "You Don't Love Me" and the very Rhytm'n'Blues-ish "Kept An Eye On You", be sure to turn up the volume control!! Little Neal were supported by several guest-musicians, you should direct your attention on Frank "Magic" Naehring playing a fantastic blues-harp on "Referee Of Love" and "Music To Me Ear", and Axel Rosenbauer, Who is supporting the boys with his swell Lapsteelguitar, especially on the countrynumber "Double Blue Eyed". The album is a real eye-catcher, designed and photographed by Sally of Cherrymuffin Studios, it comes as a 6-page digipack with a 16-sided booklet, packed with lyrics, photos, and infos about the bandmembers and the album recording-sessions. To sum up, one can say, the boys put out a real highlight of 40's and 50's Rock'n'Roll! Very diverse and with an awesome albumdesign. A must-have for every 50's music fan! Top Notch.!
Unfortunateley, after the release of this new Album Gunter, the Drumer left the Band. He was replaced by Gregor Gast.Since November 2011 Markus Heske plays the drumkit for the "Blue Flames".!

Nach Veroeffentlichung ihrer ersten EP, im Jahre 2000, tourten Little Neal & the Blue Flames vermehrt im Ausland, um sich auch dort Gehoer zu verschaffen. Zu ihren Live-Hoehepunkten zaehlen Shows in Schweden, bei den A-Bombers, auf dem Bedrock Weekender, in Daenemark, Rockin' Around Turnhout, in Belgien und natuerlich Hemsby, wo sie im Oktober 2003 zu sehen waren.

Im Fruehjahr 2004 gingen sie ins Lightning Recording Studio um ihren ersten Longplayer aufzunehmen. Während "Referee Of Love" sehr blueslastig ist und an Bo Diddles erinnert kommt der Titelsong "High School Cosh" schon fast im Teddyboy-Gewand daher Schon nach den ersten vier Nummer kann man die große Vielfalt des neuen Albums hören. Weitere Anspieltipps sind "Don't Call My Baby Yours", ein sehr gut tanzbarer Jiver, oder "Oh! Pleasure me" und "Engine Trouble", klassische Rockabilly-Nummer. Zwei weitere Highlights sind das Cover von Jay Swan "You Don't Love Me" (Exzellent) und "Kept An Eye On You", der in Richtung Rhythm & Blues geht. Littel Neal & the Blue Flames wurden von einigen Gastmusikern unterstützt. Besonders zu erwähnen sind hier Frank "Magic" Neahring, der eine vorzügliche Bluesharp zu "Referee Of Love" und "Music To Me Ear" spielt und Axel Rosebauer, der die Jungs an der Lapsteelguitar unterstützt, welche besonders gut in der Countrynummer "Double Blue Eyed" zu Geltung kommt. Ein absolutes Highlight bildet das 6-seitige Digipack und das 16-seitige Booklet, welche von Spooky Sally, von den Cherrymuffin Studios designed wurde. Hier findet man von Songtexten, über Fotos und Informationen zu den Bandmitgliedern, bis hin zur umfangreichen Informationen zum Album und den Aufnahme-Session alles was das Herz begehrt. Abschließend bleibt zu sagen, dass die Jungs mit ihrem zweiten Album ein absolutes Highlight des 40er und 50er Rock'n'Rolls vorlegen. Sehr abwechslungsreich und mit einer tollen Verpackung. Ein must have für alle Fans der guten 50s Musik.! Top Notch.!!!
Nach der Veröffentlichung des neuen Albums verließ Drummer Gunter aus beruflichen Gründen leider die Band. Anschließend sorgte Gregor Gast für den Beat bei Lil' Neal & the Blue Flames.Seit Novemeber 2011 bedient Markus Heske das Schlagzeug für die "Blue Flames.
