Little Jo.



Pioneering good music regardless of genre Little Jo is one who doesn’t like to be pinned down. In 2007 she released her Debut EP, a warped 3 track release taking you from rock influenced guitars through to stomping breaks and minimal bleeps, getting 6/8 in M8 magazine.
Jo’s DJ sets feature much of the same, depending on the venue and crowd, and this diversity has landed her gigs at some of London’s best known clubs including Turnmills, NSB @ Herbal, Inigo, Babalou, the Whitehouse, Ministry, and The Cross. From full on rocky-breaks to glitchy techno, her policy is simply good music that rocks a dancefloor. Her energy behind the decks is contagious and as a result she reached the final of the widely publicised hotbox DJ competition.



Her own club night Amplitude has also been growing from strength to strength at their parties across London and Northampton, playing the best in dirty beats. Not one to sit on her laurels, Jo has just completed a BA combined Hons in Music and Popular Culture, with a dissertation on how digital technology has transformed dance music. She has also contributed as a music journalist to a wide array of publications.



'A little bit suspect'
Jo also teams up with her good friend Suspect to create, 'A little Bit Suspect' a dj mash up twosome.breaks, electroclash, indie and techno carved up and served tounge in cheek.
Phina.
Phina is the live arm of little Jo’s musical repertoire. Originally based on her latest studio project which made up her final portfolio for her music degree, the tracks that feature on the Phina playlist represent a more diverse range of influences, from chilled beats, to indie-kid electro and dirty breaks. The first live performance was a solo project using Ableton Live, Midi Keyboard, EFX and her voice, and is now being developed into a band/live electronics project.
She may small- but she’s set to make one hell of a big noise.
