As befits a band who's had a U.K hit (on the sublime single "Their Way"), Littl'ans is no stranger to chaos. Its last British tour saw gigs canceled thanks to, amongst other things, an exploding gas canister and a double booking with 80s legend Echo and the Bunnymen. When it supported Babyshambles, it was subjected to the indignities of the rubber glove treatment after the bus it was traveling on was raided for drugs by the police. (The band was later released without charges.) Yet, Littl'ans, whose name is Cockney vernacular meaning "Little Ones," soldiers on gallantly. After all, in rock and roll the chaos is part of the deal. Four in number - singer and guitarist Andrew Aveling, drummer Ben Clarke, guitarist Alex Mahood and bassist Ryan Blagrove. These days, Littl'ans erratically traverses the country playing doo-wop-influenced pop with the dazed, dark charm of a Syd Barrett or a Nick Drake. It's surprisingly delicate music for such a hard-living band - but then romance often exists in squalor."

We are on the inevitable solo break that comes from being in a gang for so long. Hopefully soon we will be done with our solo preoccupations and be back again in one guise or another, each of us with new insights to draw from. It may be that Primitive World no longer exists on Spotify so we hope you find a way of getting to hear it without the need to trawl for long. We do have some copies as does revtone if you want artwork and cd. Meantime you can listen to the two E.P's, which we made last year but never released. Littl'ans E.P.
