2007-2008!

Melodee has been exploring her talent and venturing into other creative industries besides music. In May 2007 she had the opportunity to be apart of a short film with students of the film school New York Film Academy. Being the supporting role in a film based on the story of the Hit Latin Band "Aventura", Melodee has been on call ever since.

Just right after filming the short production in NYC, Melodee was on call for one the biggest urban radio station in New York. She received a phone call from Hot 97 representatives to appear in a short "video drop" for the Hottest Concert of the summer, "Summer Jam 2007". "That was very fun for me, I walked in the room and Uncle Ralph just said 'I need you to act very excited' he didn’t have to tell me twice I was jumping around". The Hot97 crew fell in love with Melodee's professionalism and personality and decided that she would be the girl to call for their special events.

After the concert, in July 2007 Melodee was then requested to part take in a commercial for the new clothing line "Privacy" (An urban clothing line, promoting breast cancer awareness). The commercial was based on the facts of Breast Cancer and how to approach this delicate situation.

Still hard at work in 2008 Melodee, is back in the studio with her production team (Keycity) working on hits for other artists. "Writing for other people has always been something I wanted to do, it's just that feeling you get hearing someone else put their twist on your own creation, it’s addictive."

The drive and persistence that comes from within Melodee are all signs of a passionate young musician. Focused, determined and self-motivated, Melodee is going to keep any competition on their toes. For she shows no signs of stopping, only signs of greatness and perseverance are present.
