Connectors are conduits for information. Everything from fiber optics, statistical data and of course music are transmitted through high tech connectors to your computer screen, television and ipod . Linx Kanek is the music industry's newest "connect" for hire. His scientific approach to transmitting melodies, beats and rhythm into the latest single is executed with the precision of a biochemist. His ability to relay pop, rock, hip hop and soul seemlessly have made him one of the youngest and yet most sought after producers in the game.

The southern boy turned industry genius is originally from Alabama. A product of an academic environment, Linx's father earned dual doctoral degrees. His mother was equally as passionate about school and both parents instilled in him the principle that to whom much is given much is required. Although he'd never taken a formal music lesson, Linx plays an assortment of instruments based purely on instinct alone. Infatuated with hip hop, Linx began experimenting on his own. In addition to Bone Thugs, he studied Biggie and Pac amongst others trying to find his own sound. Instead of just rapping over instrumentals, Linx decided to take his musical inclinations and try to translate them to hip hop.

The combination of his musical interests resulted in Linx discovering the ability to create many types of music. The seventeen year old didn't waste any time letting people hear his music. Everyone who heard his music had an immediate reaction and the consensus was "The kid is talented." Linx, while attending college at Alabama A&M seized the opportunity to give his music to a few key people including Nick Delton. A short while later, Linx was brought to Atlanta to meet DeVyne Stephens, international superstar Akon and Grammy winning songwriter Manuel Seal. At nineteen years old, Linx was offered several deals but ended up signing with DeVyne Stephen’s Upfront Entertainment. He left school and relocated to Atlanta, GA. He was immediately put to work as a junior producer on several major projects including R&B group Jagged Edge.

Four years later, and Linx Kanek is primed to be one of the biggest producers in the industry. He started 2009, by solidifying a MTV placement on Bad Boy's Day 26. Labeled as the "fresh new sound" Linx is quickly becoming a staple in a competitive market filled with talented producers and songwriters. "The difference with Linx is that he doesn't have any boundaries. He literally transforms with the genre. He's one of the few producers that are able to update any style of music so that its cutting edge," says business manager Prince Howard of the Howard Agency.
