Lindha Kallerdahl is a crazy Swedish lady who sings pretty and then all of a sudden she goes, “BURP! OOF! Kwee kwee! bwee-ooh! bligga bligga bligga, meep! MEEEEEEEEEEEP!!” She’s like Björk with Tourette’s, or for those of you freaky-female-jazz-vocalist experts, she’s like Patty Waters times a million. It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever heard.

----------"If you want a brave and courageous woman here she is. The tone of her voice can be straight and almost cruel, soft and whispering, deep and dark and suddenly so light and high that it hurts. It's so shocking that you won't believe me."

Ingemar Glanzelius, Dagens Nyheter--------------------------

"Lindha includes in her person an utterly sensitive musician often using very small gestures and an unbelievable voice equilibrist. Her improvisations have virtuosity and are spectacular but they are never too much. In fact her humble manners tell you about her deep honesty which in itself can disarm any reviewer."

Aron Hidman, Piteå Tidning

------------------------------------"Lindha Kallerdahl has a remarkable span in her singing and it really shows on this tremendous solo album.

Several songs are only vocals; sometimes she plays expressive piano and organ. A couple of jazz standards for example Body & Soul gets a new costume, mostly new songs by Lindha. She can sing soothing, the voice like pouring water, scatter and shout and, well anything in between.

Jazz? Improvisation? Well Lindhamusic very impressive. All the way. PM JÖNSSON -Göteborgsposten."---------------------------------------"Singer Lindha Kalleredahls music could be placed within the interesting zone between jazz and progressive and improvisation music. She has said that she sees herself as part of a tradition. But as listener you feel that her verbal whirlwind only touch the known references. There is singing but also vocal artistry that touches, and in its own way, link the mist far fetched influences and moments of recognition.

“Gold” is actually her first solo album, but the experience she has gained from the collaborations with Anna Lindahl and Sonic Youth amongst others, doesn’t pass the ear unnoticed.

She is strong, intense and generous. She really wants; it seems, to move the listener. No posing and restrained bullshit. In other words. Lindha Kallerdahl is for real. JOHANNES CORNELL -DN."-------------------------------------------------"Bold vocal artistry

Only the voice (with some organ and fractional piano), Lindha sets out to say something important but usual in a new and personal way. Direct and without filter, she creates small theater scenes where her language is sounds.

17 songs, most of them are short. Playtime is also short, 36 min. but it is well enough striped down and balanced.

Forget all about what you remember that music usually sounds like. This is original melodic and down to earth, sounds that throw themselves between different strict expressions, silent, silent and painfully loud. Her voice both gets under the skin and clears the air. Indirectly echoes a cocky Europe a complicated orient, the Russian poet Bulat Okudzjawa and Janis Joplin. Touching are the longer pieces as Ori and Jean-Loui also an unpredictable version of Victor Youngs and Johnny Merceres Beatiful Love. Strong, confident and unsentimental music- when you take it in. LEIF CARLSSON -Lira."------------------------------------------------------   I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
