Life With An Astronaut

Life With An Astronaut was founded by 10 year old Dakota Floeter. Dakota played his first live show as Life With An Astronaut at No Future Cafe in Pasadena in August 2005. By the time Dakota 13, he'd been playing guitar for over eight years. In early 2006, he began the long process of recording some cover songs on his computer's garage band program. The cover songs have gotten a lot of attention from as far away as the UK. The NME called Dakota "the world's most talented 11 year old". Eventually, Dakota started playing shows with his friend Cody Nicholls on guitar, and a revolving cast of characters on drums and bass. The songs in the player were recorded entirely by Dakota (playing all instruments) in his bedroom on Garage Band. They were mixed by Shaun Lopez. Dakota Cody both took a long relaxing break from the project to focus on other bands. As of recently, they've decided to get back into the writing process and come up with some great songs, with a bit of a genre change. They plan to embark on a whole new project early next year.
