Leonis is an abstract hip hop producer based in Paris. Keeping away from traditional production processes, Leonis melts hip hop and his own grammar. Both personal and radical, his music aims at reinventing the work of early electronic pioneers. He regards hip hop as a structure in which different music styles can be smelted.

Leonis finds his inspiration mainly in French electoacoustic, from which he takes the sense of collage and experimentation. However, his references are varied and his project is inspired by both early electronic pop naivety and concrete music austerity. From these influences mostly remains the will to discover unexplored acoustic territories and go towards unusual atmospheres.

Leonis is one of the founders of Leo & Pipo.
