Trexton Barrett otherwise known as Smokey Hype, which is his artiste stage name. He is a very talented Dancehall and Reggae artiste, also adding to his talent is the seamlessly ability to write songs for others and being and engineer in the audio studio. He was perfecting this skill from way back when he started his first label called, "Hype Klan Kru". After that venture was diminished, like anyone determined to reach greatness, Smokey started a new label called, "Spanish Mob Records" in early 2010. Spanish mob Records started out with a number of artistes such as DJ's, Singers, Engineers, Song Writer and so on. Ever since this new label was formed it has being doing good till today. Smokey is the founder and the main backbone in the operations of this venture, he is always motivating and encouraging others to put more effort in the music and never give up, which make him the great leader he is said to be by his followers and loved ones.

More on the personal side of Smokey Hype, he was born in a small community called, "Eltham Park", found in St. Catherine of Jamaica. He was born 1982 of February, the woman who gave birth to this talented man name is Ann-Marie Ellis, which is his biggest fan and major support in whatever he is doing. His talent has being recognized in his daughter as well, her name is Tiffany Barrett. Tiffany Barrett her self has the same obvious genes as her father because she have a awesome powerful voice, so look out for her as well.
