lee makes music like it is an addiction or a bad habit he can't quit this site is an attempt to keep track of it all! :-)
among other stuff he has had his work covered/played by radio1 xfm, bbc introducing and more including in europe, usa and more.he has had a photo of his naked torso on display in moma, headlined a sold-out st george's hall george harrison tribute in liverpool, played some guitar for akira the don and worked just about every aspect of music industry from postering, press and plugging to lights to sound to promoting to presenting/producing radio (including oxfords only local music show for 3years), managing, a&r and even tv interviews! lee boycotts the wheatsheaf after years of working there for many valid reasons. apart from playing regularly for charity, the 'smilex vs. oxford' remix album and the prohibition smokers club album 'a clearing.' were released with all profits to the local kids hospital and cancer charities respectively! following their popular collabo with californian rapper mc lars, smilex also released a rap/rock remix of mr shaodow single 'lookout there's a blackman coming' for lovemusichetracism in 2009. also check out boywithatoy's and lee's solo contributions to bbcintroducing's 'qauntum of covers' and 'round the bends' children in need tribute albums! lee takes his hat off to anyone promoting music for free or no profit! and anyone spending time and enthusiasm on those artists! smilex are currently playmusic's 'best live unsigned band 2010' and have records produced by ace from skunk anansie - they have been fighting the good fight since 2002 and show no signs of dying anytime soon with new album 'le petite mort' on it's way soon!
you can find his solo music on this site and all various bands/projects in his top friends below:
quickfixrecordings/smilex/boywithatoy/theprohibtionsmokersclub/chateaux69/forgeorge etc.
soon there will be a production and remix site including work for lapsus linguae, mbicr, trot and more!
thanks for paying attention/supporting this habit - especially if u bought records/tickets!
that is ultimately how it survives/lives on.
