Leadfoot was formed in 1993 after Karl Agell was “let go” from Raleigh-based, Corrosion of Conformity(Karl sang lead on the highly-influential album "Blind"). Woody Weatherman and Phil Swisher also left C.O.C. to join the band. Woody left after a bit to reform C.O.C., so Karl and Phil finished out the line-up with Graham Fry, Ryan Culp Barringer and Jon McClain. In 1996 the band was signed to Roadrunner and they recorded “Bring it On” in Hollywood, CA. The album was released in early 1997 to rave reviews around the world. After the band was dropped from Roadrunner, drummer Jon McClain left the band to be replaced by Tim Haisman. Also, Ryan was replaced by Scott Little on guitar. With this line-up, the band recorded and released its second full-length cd entitled, “Take A Look” in 1999. The success from this record took the band on its first world tour, playing at several of Europe’s famous mega-music festivals. After the tour, domestic duties took guitarist Graham Fry from the band. John Dzubak replaced him. The band was then picked up by Lunasound, and they recorded their 3rd album, “We Drink For Free” in 2002. Another US and European tour followed with great success. After a break in late 2003, Phil decided to leave the band and was followed by Tim. The remaining 3 members almost decided to call it quits, but they went ahead with auditions for a new rhythm section. Session drummer John Flowers joined the band in February of 2004 and bassist Paul Walz was hired 3 months later. In 2007, John Dzubak bailed to become a dating coach in NYC. John Flowers, with family in tow, moved to Arizona. Good friend, Bill Eagen took over on drums for a while. Bill and Paul split parted company with the Foot the same year. The summer of 2008 heralded the return of Graham Fry. And so the revolving door keeps on keepin' on! No matter the lineup, the ethic remains the same. Their high-energy, dynamic performances still drive their fans into a rock and roll fury, and they are currently working on their 4th full-length cd that will be released in 2009. Stay tuned

UPDATE: Leadfoot has added TR Gwynne to the ranks, as player of bass and singer of back up vocals. We also are very happy to announce the return of John Flowers on drums!!! Back from his wanderings through the desert Southwest.returned to his Southern heartland.back in the bosom of the almighty Leadfoot. Rock on.
